Carnival Rules
For the students of Oasis Hill Academy

  • Students must first receive permission from their parent/guardian before being allowed to visit the carnival. The permission slip must be handed to the Headmaster in the Entrance Hall on the first day of the carnival.
  • Because the carnival is entirely muggle, students and professors will be required to attend a brief Muggle Studies class in the Auditorium to learn how to use and handle muggle money. Any student or professor who misses this lesson will not be given permission to attend the carnival.
  • Students are to leave any and all magical items at the school, including their wands.
  • Students are prohibited to talk about anything magical whilst at the carnival.
  • Students are to follow the Woodberg County Rules and Guidelines at all times. These rules have been posted on the bulletin board. Please refer to said rules before going to the carnival.
  • The rule prohibiting students from visiting Woodberg County during the week will be lifted for the duration of the carnival.
  • That being said, students have a strict 8.30 curfew for the duration of the carnival.
  • Students who are not back at Oasis Hill Academy by 8:30pm or at not back in their respective common rooms by 9:30pm will be given immediate detention and will not be allowed to visit the carnival without a supervisor.
  • Students are to be on their best behaviour whilst at the carnival. If Oasis Hill Academy receives any complaints from the muggles or witches/wizards running the carnival, those students will be given immediate detention and will have their rights to visit the carnival revoked.
  • Students are to dress appropriately whilst visiting the carnival. During the months of March and April, the nights will be cooler, therefore students are asked to dress according to the temperature.
  • Any girls caught wearing short skirts or short shorts will be sent back to Oasis Hill Academy immediately to change.
  • Professors will be patrolling the carnival to ensure all students are abiding by the rules.
  • Being allowed to go to the carnival is a privilege, not a right. Students who do not abide by the set out rules will not be allowed to go to the carnival.
